Leah S. Levenson, Psy.D.
Dr. Leah S. Levenson is a licensed clinical psychologist in North Carolina, Mississippi, and Florida. She received her doctorate degree in 2004 from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL with an emphasis in the treatment of children and families. While completing her requirements for her clinical degree, she also obtained licensure in the School of Psychology
She is recognized by the North Carolina Board of Psychology, the Mississippi Board of Psychology, the Florida Department of Health, and the Mississippi Department of Education. She completed her internship at a Community Mental Health Center in Cleveland. OH, which afforded her the opportunity to work with a diverse population and presenting problem, providing both therapy and psychological/educational evaluations in both an outpatient clinic and school setting. After receiving her degree, she continued her work at the Community Mental Health Center, served as a school psychologist in a local school district, and worked as a private practitioner. In 2007, she worked for a large hospital system in Hattiesburg, MS in both the inpatient and outpatient programs as well as the day treatment program. In 2011, she began working with active duty military and their families on the gulf coast of MS. In 2015, she opened her own private practice providing services to children, adolescents, and adults. Over the years, her broad experiences enabled her to serve as a clinical supervisor for clinical and counseling psychology graduate students, master’s level clinicians, APA pre-doctoral interns, post-doctoral fellows, and a licensed social worker.
Throughout her entire career, Dr. Levenson has had the opportunity to work closely with children, adolescents, adults, families, school personnel, and the medical community. She specializes in exploring cognitive, behavioral, and personality issues through therapy addressing a variety of issues, including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, mood problems, stress, trauma, chronic illness, behavioral difficulties, adjustment and life transition, parenting, relationships, and personal growth. She has a special interest in maternal mental health, college students, and young adults.

You will also receive a text message with a link for a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. This is the app that will be utilized for our video telehealth sessions. Once you have created an account, you can access the video sessions through your computer, tablet, or cell phone.
A Sessions are available Mon-Thurs 8am-3pm CST. Patient and provider will find a time that works best for you. School and/or works excuses are available upon request.
A Current fees for services, effective January 1, 2022
- Initial 60-90 minute evaluation/consultation is $250
- 60 minute follow up sessions are $250
- 45 minute follow up sessions are $200

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

NORTH CAROLINA: Dr. Levenson is not a network provider for any insurance carriers in NC at this time. As a result, all services offered to NC patients are cash pay. She is happy to provide you with a receipt to submit on your own. You may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. You will need to contact your insurance provider to confirm your out-of-network benefits.
MISSISSIPPI: Dr. Levenson is a network provider for BCBS, First Choice/SAS/Humana, and Medicare. Dr. Levenson is a certified non-network provider for Tricare. For Tricare, she will submit authorization for services and services will be covered based upon your plan requirements. If you have an insurance carrier in which Dr. Levenson is not a provider, a cash pay option is available. You may discuss rates with Dr. Levenson as needed. She is happy to provide you with a receipt to submit on your own. You may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. You will need to contact your insurance provider to confirm your out-of-network benefits.
FLORIDA: Dr. Levenson is not a network provider for any insurance carriers in FL at this time. As a result, all services offered to FL patients are cash pay. She is happy to provide you with a receipt to submit on your own. You may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. You will need to contact your insurance provider to confirm your out-of-network benefits.
