ONLINE THERAPY BASED IN CHARLOTTE & ACROSS NC & PSYPACT STATES

For the people who always seem to have it together. Even when it doesn’t feel that way.

Practical therapy for anxiety, burnout, and parenting stress.

You’re holding it together. (Barely)

From the outside, no one would guess how hard you’re working just to make it through the day. You’re the go-to person. The one who remembers the school forms, handles the deadlines, keeps the peace, and keeps things moving. But lately, keeping it all together is taking a lot more out of you than it used to. You’re mentally drained, emotionally fried, and wondering when life got so heavy.

Maybe it’s parenting that’s pushing you to the edge—tantrums, anxiety, and endless second-guessing. Or maybe life just hit you with a huge change—divorce, career change, a shift in identity—and you’re standing in the middle of it all thinking… Now what?

I hELP PEOPLE WHO…

  • Feel burnt out and are unsure how to change it.

  • Want to be more in control of their emotions and their life.

  • Are at a major crossroads and anxious about what comes next.

  • Feel like they’ve lost themselves.

  • Want therapy that leads somewhere—not just more talking in circles.

Leah Levenson, a psychologist, seated outdoors in a casual chair, smiling warmly at the camera

Hi, I’m Dr Leah Levenson

I’m not here to nod politely while you vent. I’m here to help you actually feel better—and figure out what needs to change to get there.

We’ll absolutely talk about what’s hard, but we won’t stay there. I’ll ask questions, tell you what I’m seeing, and help you figure out what’s actually getting in your way. Then we’ll focus on what to do about it. Because knowing what to do and being able to do it are two completely different things.

A man sits on a therapist's couch with his hands folded

People often tell me they’re surprised by how easy I am to talk to. I’m real—I don’t sugarcoat, and I don’t judge.

We can have honest conversations without them feeling heavy every second. I mix humor, warmth, and straight talk to help you name what’s getting in your way. And when you're stuck, I’ll help you figure out what comes next. When you feel like you're being pulled in 100 directions, I'll help you slow down and figure out what really matters.

One of the things my clients appreciate most is that I pay attention. I remember what matters to you, notice patterns you might miss, and help you connect dots that haven’t quite come together yet. That’s how therapy moves beyond having a good conversation and starts creating real change.

No matter what you're bringing into the room—parenting stress, anxiety, major life shifts, or just feeling “off”—I show up with curiosity, compassion, and zero judgment. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, ACT, behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and psychoeducation, but I care a lot more about whether something is helping you than what it’s called.
